Some clothes are made in a welfare state and some are not
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2013/feb/10/are-british-made-clothes-more-sustainable - Lucy Siegle of The Guardian quotes clothing importers and their commentators to write about British-made clothes. This misses the point that some clothes are made in a welfare state, and some are not. That's more important to me than miles of travel.
